Friendly, bright, and easy to live with, the Miniature Goldendoodle blends the Golden Retriever's warmth with the Poodle's low-shedding coat. Ours are raised inside our home on our dairy farm in Kinzers, Pennsylvania, from parents who are health and DNA tested.

Keeping a Miniature Goldendoodle healthy

Brushing
The wavy or curly coat needs brushing several times a week to prevent mats — this is the main commitment of the breed.
Professional grooming
Most families book a trim every 6–8 weeks to keep the coat comfortable and manageable.
Ear care
Drop ears and coat around the canal mean ears should be checked and kept dry regularly.
Exercise
A good daily walk plus play is enough. They enjoy activity but do not need endless exercise.

Why responsible breeding matters

Crossbred dogs still inherit the health considerations of both parent breeds, so testing the parents is what matters. Hips, eyes and inherited conditions from both the Golden Retriever and Poodle side are the areas worth screening.

Our parent dogs are health-checked and DNA tested before breeding, and we talk openly with families about temperament, care expectations and what owning this breed actually involves.

Hips and joints
Screening breeding dogs helps reduce the risk of hip and elbow problems inherited from either parent breed.
Eyes
Both parent breeds carry inherited eye conditions; parent testing is the way these are managed.

Our puppies are raised inside our home alongside our family, not in a kennel, with regular human interaction and exposure to normal household and farm sounds. Every puppy goes home vet-checked, up to date on vaccinations and deworming, microchipped, and with lifelong support from us.
