Calm, affectionate, and famously good-natured, the English Bulldog is one of the most people-focused companions you can bring into a family home. Ours are raised inside our home on our dairy farm in Kinzers, Pennsylvania, from parents who are health and DNA tested.

Keeping a English Bulldog healthy

Wrinkle care
Facial folds need wiping and drying a few times a week to stay clean and comfortable. This is the single most important grooming habit for the breed.
Coat
The short coat needs only weekly brushing and an occasional bath — one of the easiest coats to maintain.
Heat and breathing
Flat-faced breeds overheat easily. Walks belong in the cool part of the day, and they should never be left outside in summer heat.
Exercise
Two short walks a day and indoor play are plenty. Long runs and hard exercise are not suitable for this breed.

Willing but unhurried
Bulldogs learn what you ask, in their own time. Short sessions work far better than long ones.
Reward-based methods
Food and praise get results. Harsh correction shuts a Bulldog down rather than motivating it.

Breathing (brachycephalic airway)
A short muzzle means less room to breathe. Keeping a Bulldog lean, cool, and unhurried in hot weather matters more than any other single thing.
Hips and joints
Screening breeding dogs helps reduce the risk of hip and joint problems in a heavy-set breed.
Eyes and eyelids
Entropion and cherry eye occur in the breed; both are treatable and worth checking for early.
Skin and folds
Skin fold irritation is the most common day-to-day issue, and routine wrinkle cleaning prevents most of it.

The English Bulldog has been a family dog for generations, and the reason is temperament. This is a breed that wants to be near you, tolerates the noise and unpredictability of children, and asks for very little in return. What it does ask for is an owner who takes the breathing, the heat and the wrinkles seriously — and a breeder who does the same before the puppy is ever born.

Our puppies are raised inside our home alongside our family, not in a kennel, with regular human interaction and exposure to normal household and farm sounds. Every puppy goes home vet-checked, up to date on vaccinations and deworming, microchipped, and with lifelong support from us.
